The next forum of the Cuban Civil Society was held in Havana

Judging by the numerous fines, the total size of $ 25 million, which the management of foreign assets plans to recover from private individuals and enterprises from January to September 2009, the US trade and economic blockade against the island of Liberty continues. This information has become known thanks to Johann Tablad, who currently holds the post of deputy director of the North American department of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This once again confirms the hostile mood of the United States of America in relation to Cuba, which has been a powerful lever of pressure for almost half a century for almost half a century. Opening the sixth Forum of Cuban Civil Society dedicated to the termination of the blockade, in its speech, the tablad emphasized that the OFAC, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Finance of the United States of America, applied penalties against several countries in the amount of 19.4 million dollars. This measure was carried out in accordance with the extraterritorial use of laws. For 9 months of this year alone, eight foreign companies will have to pay a total of $ 6 million. This is the fee for conducting trade operations with the Cuban side. In order to at least somehow justify the embargo policy, the State Department of the United States of America leaves Havana in the so-called “black list”, where the countries that have cases of human trafficking are noted, and numerous violations of human rights and terrorism. The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 100 organizations and associations of the Civil Civil Civil Society, as well as regional institutions presented on the island. It is worth recalling that 18 years ago, representatives of about 60 countries turned to the White House members with a request to stop sanctions against Cuba. Last year, this indicator reached a record mark – 185 of 192 UN member states spoke in support of the Caribbean Island.
