“Russian Railways” received a proposal from former Kopeyka and Pyaterochka networks, which consists in the project for the construction of shopping centers on suburban platforms in the metropolitan region. This became known from the article in the newspaper “Kommersant”.
As the publication notes, the initiative to modernize the stations that are located at a distance of up to 200 kilometers to Moscow were expressed by businessmen Alexander Ulyanov and Vladimir Fisher. They suggest that the area of each two -level shopping center will be approximately 7,000 square meters. Objects will be both on the platforms themselves and on the lands that adjust to the station.
Ticket cash desks and turnstiles will be on part of the first floor of the shopping center, it is planned to place retailers throughout the rest of the area. At the moment, negotiations are already underway with the Center’s Show trading network, an agreement with mobile operators and grocery retailers are reached. It is planned to invest approximately 3-10 million dollars in each object. Businessmen already have experience in cooperation with Russian Railways. Last year, businessmen opened the Kazan shopping center in the Moscow station of the same name. The size of investment in the project was 200 million rubles.
In May of this year, the “Moscow Ring Railway” program was presented for the construction of a network, which consists of 31 transport and proceedings. It is planned to build developers as part of this project 500-750 thousand square meters of commercial real estate. It is also planned to build 250 thousand square meters. m. infrastructure where passengers will be able to transplant and expect their trains.
