On January 17, the leadership of the Lviv customs held a meeting following the results of the work last year. Although last year, customs officers of the Lviv region transferred 3 billion to the state budget. 409.6 million. hryvnias, planned tasks for filling the budget, they did not fulfill 479 million hryvnias.
The meeting of the Lviv customs was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Igor Timofeev. As if justified by the management, deputy head of the Lviv customs Claudius Kutikin, analyzing the work of subordinates, indicated national trends that negatively affected customs deductions. She recalled that last year there was a significant decline in foreign economic activity throughout the country. Thus, the company “Family Sausage”, according to customs officers, last year reduced the volume of foreign economic activity by 76.1 million. hryvnias. The volume of transportation through the Khimplastroekt products border fell 99 percent. There are many such well -known regional enterprises as Ukrtransnft, in general last year did not carry out foreign economic activity. Less steel, customs officers noted, import expensive goods to Ukraine. The customs fee from the import of fat, say, fell by 59 million. hryvnias. Less also imported meat, coal, wires, fresh bananas. 2400 thousand units of goods were imported less to Ukraine and ordinary citizens. Most of all, the volume of customs duties at the customs posts of Rava-Russian, Smillizer, Mostiska, Krakovets fell most.“You mentioned the macroeconomic reasons for the underput of the plan, and you should pay more attention to the work of the units,” interrupted the speaker as deputy chairman of the State Property Service Igor Timofeev. He recalled that the payment of salaries to doctors, teachers, and other state employees depends on customs receipts to the state budget. Therefore, customs officers must fight, the leader summed up, for each penny. As if a polemic with a Kyiv official, the chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Mikhail Tsimbalyuk, who was present at the meeting, recalled that the creation of a favorable investment climate in the Lviv region, where, the governor, “is the struggle for each investor” depends on customs officers. Therefore, Tsimbalyuk believes, the state service must set real tasks before the Lviv customs. And the customs officers later have to implement the program “face to people” – to meet foreigners with polite smiles, not to spoil their moods, not to disgrace the state. Therefore, this year, the Lviv customs officers set a difficult task. They must squeeze each penny of customs duties from objects of foreign economic activity, but not to frighten them with special picky. Who can’t cope with this task, will fall under the reduction that will last in the state -owned service, as in other state structures.
