Members of the Belarusian delegation decided to present Eurovision 2013 participants a rather extravagant present-vodka with an advertisement for the nominee from their country Alena Lanskaya.
The hot drink was given the name by analogy with the song “Solayoh” performed by the Belarusian participant (meaning a magical country). However, the delivery of gifts caused serious difficulties. Swedish customs officers loaded with bottles with “Solayoh”. It was possible to solve the issue only by paying for every bottle of forty euros from above. Moreover, the argument that we are talking exclusively about gifts for participants in the music competition in no way affected the Swedish guards. According to Alena Lanskaya herself, one thousand bottles of a strong drink were made. For one gift set (two bottles with a total capacity of a liter), each member of the Belarusian delegation received. According to Swedish laws, the import of alcoholic beverages into the country is limited by one liter per person. The rest of the “liquid gifts” had to be taken by the truck, which was detained at the Swedish customs. The scandal erupted, the Belarusian delegation was accused of trying to relieve the transport of the load of vodka into the territory of the state. Since the manufacture of each bottle of “Solayoh” cost 10 euros, plus the Swedes were invited to pay another 40 another 40, the producer of Alena Lanskaya decided to return the wagon with “smuggling” back. Its compatriots in Belarus will now be able to taste the branded drink from Lanskaya. The other day the goods have already been delivered to specialized retail outlets of Minsk. According to the representative of the Belarusian delegation, considerable money has been spent, now it became necessary to sell the product.
