We heard that in our city there is a gerontological center in which clubs are created. It is clear that for the elderly, but what interest do old people have from this club? And what is generally a gerontological center?

Yes, indeed, we have in the republic the OO Central Asian Gerontological Center. “The main mission of our center is to ensure a decent life for the elderly,” says Saodat Kamolov, director of the Central Asian Gerontological Center. This center is intended for elderly people of socially vulnerable segments of the population, whose age should be older than 70 years. The organization provides medical and social humanitarian assistance, which includes: medical, product and preventive assistance.
There are also “communication clubs” that are an important link for the elderly. They are open in all areas of the city, and everyone can visit it. In “Clubs of Communication”, everyone can find or create groups of interests. Clubs data leaders organize trips outside the city, visiting theaters. In addition, they cope all significant dates. I would like to note that more than 300 elderly people in the city of Dushanbe are registered in the Club of Communications.
