Last week, an agreement on cooperation between FC Volyn and the Polish Club of the GCS Bogdank (former GKS Gurnik), which is now in the first Polish division, was signed in the city of Lyublinsky Voivodeship).
The head coach of Volyn, Anatoly Demyanenko, had a conversation with a colleague from the Bogdanka GKS Peter Gzhepka. Representatives of both clubs discussed the possibility of organizing sparring between the main teams of clubs, as well as junior and youth tournaments, the exchange of experience of the coaching staff.
During the fight of the 18th round of the Championship of Ukraine between Volyn and the Chernomorets, the Club press service met with the head coach of Bogdanka Peter Gzhepko.
– Mr. Gzhepko, how will you evaluate the prospects for cooperation of “Volyn” with your FC?
– Lankine and Lutsk shares a short distance, so it is very convenient for us to cooperate in a sports sense. There is an opportunity to hold friendly matches and tournaments of various teams of our clubs and exchange experience to trainers and club managers.
– Does the infrastructure of your club allow organizing joint sporting events?
– Yes, in the lunch there is a wonderful stadium, training fields with natural and artificial coating, rehabilitation rooms. Honestly, even the clubs of our extraclasses envy us.
– How your club plays in the first league of the Polish championship?
– Now we are in eighth place and plan to return to the highest division. There are several very strong and promising local players. They lack experience, our team is very young. From the legionnaires we have a Brazilian, Czech and even a Japanese. We are guided by such a policy that the legionnaire should play much better than a local pupil to get into the composition.
– What is the attendance of matches of GKS “Bogdanka”?
– Used to have a full stadium – 3-5 thousand people came. Subsequently, the attendance fell somewhat. The situation is like yours – the better the team plays, the more spectators in the stands and vice versa. But in general – our fans are waiting for extraclasses when we return to it.
